The American Microwave Exhibition (IMS), hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), is an outstanding annual gathering, exhibition, and conference for global RF, microwave, and millimeter wave researchers, technical experts, academia, and industry practitioners. Since 2003, it has been held alternately across the United States, known as American Microwave Week, Microwave Communications Exhibition, and Microwave Technology Exhibition. The American Microwave Technology Exhibition is known as the world's largest gathering place for RF and microwave professionals, and also the birthplace of the latest academic research and technological products in the microwave field. The IMS theme "Microwave, Medicine, Mobility" highlights RF, microwave and millimeter wave research, development and products in the fields of medicine (including diagnosis and treatment) and telecommunications (including 5G, the Internet and the Internet of Things).
